The case of the "Krayan" plant at VAKS

The Krayan plant case is a criminal proceeding concerning the embezzlement of funds from Odesa's city budget. In 2016, the city council purchased a building of the former plant for 185 million hryvnias from a private structure that had itself bought this complex for 11.5 million hryvnias. The investigation established signs of budget theft and attempts to transfer money to fictitious companies. The case is being heard in the High Anti-Corruption Court and concerns officials of Odesa's city authorities.
