Mine threat in Ukraine
A mine is an explosive trap laid underground, on the bottom of water bodies, or on the surface, designed to strike people, equipment, or vessels. On the territory of Ukraine, mines have remained as a result of military operations, especially in southern regions and coastal zones. They pose a serious threat to the civilian population, causing deaths and injuries, and also complicating the restoration of infrastructure and navigation.
