The militarization of Crimea is a process of intensifying military presence and militarizing civilian life on the occupied Crimean Peninsula. The phenomenon includes the deployment of military facilities, involving the civilian population in military operations, promoting military values in education and culture, as well as transforming civilian infrastructure for military needs. This is part of Russian occupation policy aimed at consolidating control over the territory and involving the local population in military activities.
