Memorial signs and memorials
Memorial signs are monumental structures, plaques, monuments, and other material objects erected in honor of outstanding individuals, historical events, or victims. On Ukrainian territory, especially in southern regions, such signs are often dedicated to heroes, fighters for independence, cultural figures, and victims of military conflicts. The question of establishing, preserving, or dismantling memorial signs often provokes public discussions, particularly regarding Soviet heritage and symbols associated with Russian aggression.
