Kurgan

A kurgan is an earthen mound built over an ancient burial, which is an important archaeological and historical monument. Such structures are frequently found throughout Ukraine, especially in southern regions, and are significant for studying ancient cultures and civilizations. Kurgans require protection as objects of cultural heritage; however, they are often subjected to destruction through economic activities, military actions, and other negative impacts.
