Events Poster at Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station

Kakhovka HPP

Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station — a hydroelectric power plant named after P. S. Neporozhnyi, located in southern Ukraine near the city of Nova Kakhovka in Kherson Oblast. It was the last (lower) step of the Dnieper cascade of hydroelectric power stations, but on June 6, 2023, Russian occupiers blew up the dam, causing an environmental catastrophe and significant consequences for the region. This tag combines materials about the consequences of the station's destruction, environmental changes, losses, and restoration of the territories of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
