Honoring Memory and Memorial Events
Honoring memory is a practice of paying tribute to and preserving the memory of outstanding individuals, victims of war, cultural figures, and other significant persons through the installation of memorial plaques, creation of memorial spaces, holding commemorative events, and other forms of commemoration. In Ukraine, such initiatives are often associated with honoring heroes who died during Russian aggression, outstanding historical figures, and public figures. This is an important aspect of civic culture and national memory.
