Extradition and International Surrender
Extradition is a form of international cooperation between states in combating crime, which consists of the arrest and transfer by one state to another of a person suspected or accused of committing a crime. The transfer of a detained person is carried out on the basis of treaties between states and is an important instrument of international law enforcement cooperation.
