Demining and explosive ordnance disposal
Demining is the process of detecting, neutralizing, and removing mines, improvised explosive devices, and other unexploded ordnance from territory in order to ensure the safety of the civilian population. In Mykolaiv, Kherson, and other regions of Ukraine, demining is carried out by specialized teams of pyrotechnicians and engineering units both after combat operations and during prolonged operations. This process is critically important for restoring peaceful life and economic activity in areas affected by war.
