Cossack History and Heritage of Ukraine
Cossackdom is a historical phenomenon of Ukrainian society that encompasses military, cultural, and civic traditions of the Cossacks from the 15th–18th centuries. Cossacks were participants in self-governing military communities that defended Ukrainian lands, controlled trade routes, and conducted naval raids against Turkish expansion. This tag unites materials about Cossack heritage, historical monuments, festivals, and research on Cossack culture, particularly in southern regions of Ukraine — Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia.
