City Day

City Day is a celebration of the day of a city's founding or acquisition of city status, which is observed in various Ukrainian cities on different dates. Often this date is associated with a historical event important for the city's development, or with a national and regional holiday. On City Day, mass cultural events, concerts, exhibitions and other celebrations are traditionally held that unite citizens. For each city, the celebration date is set individually — from spring to autumn depending on historical circumstances.
