- On the afternoon of June 23, Russians launched a missile attack on Odesa region and destroyed a local educational institution in the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. Three people were killed and more than a dozen wounded. Among the latter is 15-year-old boxer Mark Avetikyan , who, despite his injuries, managed to save his friend who was trapped in the rubble as a result of the destruction. Now Mark is in the Belgorod-Dniester City Hospital. His condition is stable and he is gradually recovering.

- Another well-known resident of Akkerman, two-time Olympic boxing champion Vasyl Lomachenko , wrote on his Facebook page that his home school was "cynically shelled with missiles," but did not mention whose missiles. This caused considerable indignation in the comments, led to a verbal altercation between Vasyl and well-known volunteers Serhiy Prytula and Serhiy Sternenko, and MP and Olympian Zhan Beleniuk asked a rhetorical question - if it is not known whose missiles, then from whom Vasyl was going to defend himself at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, recalling his photo in uniform and allegedly joining the terrorist defense? As you can see, Lomachenko's controversial statements haunt him even after his career is over .
