Two ships hit by Russians on their way to Odesa ports

As a result of the Russian attack on May 18, two ships sailing to Odesa region ports through the Black Sea were damaged.
According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, these were vessels flying the flags of Guinea-Bissau and the Marshall Islands, which were in the waiting area and moving through the Ukrainian corridor to the ports of Greater Odesa.
The hits caused small fires on both vessels, which were localized by the ship's crew. There were no injuries among the crews. The vessels are underway and have continued to move to their ports.
According to the command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the KSL DEYANG, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, belongs to a company from the People's Republic of China and its crew consisted of Chinese citizens.

On the night of May 18, the Russian army once again attacked Odesa with attack drones, injuring an 11-year-old boy and a 59-year-old man. As a result of the enemy attack, unmanned aerial vehicles hit three residential buildings in Kyiv and Prymorskyi districts of Odesa. One of them, a one-story house in Prymorskyi district, was completely destroyed. Other buildings had damaged facades, roofs and glazing. Local fires broke out and were extinguished.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of May 18, the enemy launched a combined attack on the territory of Ukraine using attack UAVs and ground-based missiles. The main focus of the attack was Dnipro and Dnipro region, but Odesa, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions were also attacked. In total, the Air Force's radio engineering troops detected 546 airborne attack vehicles.
Air defense neutralized 507 targets - four Iskander-K missiles and 503 drones of various types. There were 18 missile and 16 attack UAV hits at 34 locations, as well as downed UAVs (wreckage) at 11 locations.
