On the night of May 18, the Russian army once again attacked Odesa with attack drones, injuring an 11-year-old boy and a 59-year-old man.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
According to him, as a result of the enemy attack in Kyivskyi and Prymorskyi districts of Odesa, unmanned aerial vehicles hit three residential buildings. One of them is a one-story house in Prymorskyi district, which was completely destroyed. Other buildings had damaged facades, roofs and glazing. Local fires broke out and were extinguished.
According to the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, in addition to residential buildings, a lyceum and a kindergarten were damaged, and Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk said that at night, Russians also attacked a Chinese-flagged merchant ship with a drone.
On the night of May 16, Russians attacked the south of Odesa region, in particular, the city of Izmail was hit. In particular, an unmanned aerial vehicle was recorded hitting a five-story residential building. The façade and glazing were damaged, and the balconies and a car shop on the ground floor caught fire.
In addition, a one-story residential building was damaged, injuring two people. The attack also damaged the port's infrastructure, including a warehouse and an administrative building. Glass was smashed in the facilities. Debris was recorded falling on the territory of the educational institution.
The drones used by Russia to attack Odesa district in the morning of May 15 fell on the territory of a private household and a garden cooperative. Two residential buildings were damaged during one of the attacks, which took place intermittently in the morning, and a local fire broke out on one of the plots. In total, as of 12:00 a.m. on May 15, ten people were injured in the night and morning attacks in Odesa region.
