The occupiers in Alushta used compensation payments for power outages as a pretext to search homes

In the temporarily occupied city of Alushta, the occupying forces conducted door-to-door inspections. They justified the inspections by citing the need to verify residency in order to pay compensation for power outages.
This was reported by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
The inspections are being conducted for residents of homes that have been without electricity for more than two days. The checks will cover at least 7,000 households. Residents are promised a phone call before the visit, and the inspectors must present an ID or other document confirming their affiliation with the occupying administration.
To receive compensation of 15,000 rubles (approximately 8,000 hryvnias) for a prolonged period without electricity, residents must also provide documentary proof of their residence at a specific address. Specifically, they must provide representatives of the occupying authorities with a registration certificate or a lease agreement signed at least four months ago. If such documents are not provided, payment may be denied.
Local residents are expressing their outrage over the inspections on social media. In particular, they note that they are unable to stay at home all the time and wait for an inspection.
Earlier, it was reported that the number of gas stations in Crimea where fuel can be purchased has increased. However, despite the occupying authorities’ promises, prices have not decreased, and the quality has deteriorated significantly.
One local activist said that gas station display boards currently do not show the price of fuel at all, but only display the amount in stock. Gasoline costs 300 rubles per liter, which is a high price. As a result, many private car owners are cutting back on their trips. Demand for gasoline to fuel generators remains steady.
