The occupiers are building new pontoon bridges to Crimea in the Chongar and Henichesk areas

The occupying forces are attempting to strengthen land-based logistics to occupied Crimea. They have built alternative access roads and are constructing several pontoon crossings at critical junctions.
This was reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
In the Chongar area, an embankment is being built for a crossing, and in the Henichesk area, a crossing is being paved.
“Some dirt roads, for example, have been turned into fully paved roads; alternative roads have appeared, as well as access roads to the main roads where these bridges are located. And we can see that, for example, in the Henichesk area, this newly constructed crossing is already being paved. Plus, a similar situation will most likely arise in the Chongar area as well,” investigative journalist Kirill Ovsyannysaid in a radio interview .
According to him, satellite images indicate that the Russians are preparing for the possible destruction of bridges in the Chongar and Henichesk areas by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The newly built crossings are not as easy to destroy.
Throughout June and July, the occupiers’ logistics, military, and energy infrastructure in Crimea came under the most intense strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the start of the full-scale invasion. Following theJuly energy crisis, stores in Crimea were forced to operate on generators. Fuel shortages also persist in the region. This has led to a sharp rise in food prices. Since food in the Kuban region costs one and a half to two times less than in Crimea, residents of the peninsula are heading there to shop. This is being done not only by ordinary citizens but also by small shop owners.
