Russians hit an administrative building in downtown Odesa

Russian forces attacked the center of Odesa with a missile-equipped drone. An administrative building was damaged.

This was reported by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Military Administration. 

 Information regarding casualties is being verified.

A fire was reported at the site of the strike.

4:59 p.m. As of this moment, three people are known to have been injured as a result of the enemy attack on Odesa. One of them is in serious condition. All of the injured have been hospitalized and are receiving the necessary medical care.

5:19 p.m. There are currently five known casualties. Most of them have shrapnel wounds. All are receiving the necessary medical care. The strike damaged the facade and windows of the administrative building. The resulting fire spread across several floors. Cleanup efforts are ongoing at the scene.

5:47 p.m. The numberof casualties has risen to seven. All relevant emergency services are on the scene. An emergency response center has been set up to assist those affected.

7:25 p.m.A second strike occurred while emergency and rescue services were working to address the aftermath of the attack and assist people. Ten people are currently known to have been injured, including two rescue workers. Three of the injured were hospitalized; the others received medical care at the scene. 

9:54 p.m. The number of casualties from the enemy attack on downtown Odesa has risen to 11. Three people were hospitalized. The other victims received outpatient medical care.

As reported by Intent, on the night of September 18 in Odesa, a two-story, unused building caught fire as a result of a Russian attack. There were no casualties.

The strikes damaged residential areas, a business, storage tanks, and warehouses. A private residential building was completely destroyed, and at least five others were damaged.

A high school building, greenhouses, and several cars were also damaged. Cleanup efforts are underway at the sites of the strikes. Law enforcement officials are documenting yet another Russian war crime.

Odesa comes under daily attack by the Russians using various types of weapons—the enemy employs rocket-propelled and conventional “Shaheds,” “banderole,” missiles, and guided aerial bombs.

On the night of September 17, Odesa and the region came under a massive combined attack by Russian forces. Seven people were injured in the strikes, including children aged 4 and 13.

On September 13, in Odesa, Russian forces completely destroyed the distribution center of the EVA retail chain, which supplied goods to the Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions. None of the facility’s employees were injured.
