Russian troops shell a church and a police checkpoint in Kherson region: two people are killed

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked at least 34 settlements in Kherson region with artillery, mortars, MLRS, and drones. The attacks killed two people, injured 20 others, and damaged houses, vehicles, a church, and a police car.
This was reported by the press service of the National Police in the Kherson region.
Over the past day, Russian troops massively shelled Kherson and Beryslav districts using artillery, mortars, multiple launch rocket systems and drones. Thirty-four settlements in the region came under attack.

According to police, the attacks killed two people and injured 20 others. Eight private houses, a church, a bus, a minibus, two civilian cars, and a police car were destroyed.
Some of the most severe consequences were recorded in Kherson. In Dniprovsky district, a 30-year-old man was killed by an FPV drone strike, and another victim was hospitalized. In the Korabelny district, six people aged 34 to 80 were injured by shelling. Another victim was a 64-year-old woman who died during a drone attack on a private house.

FPV drones also attacked Ukrainka, Kostyrka, Bilozerka and Novoraysk community. Among the victims are the elderly and local residents who sustained blast, brain and shrapnel injuries.
In addition, people who had suffered from previous Russian shelling sought medical assistance. During the day, the police opened 19 criminal proceedings under the article on war crimes.
On May 21, ten people were injured as a result of Russian aggression. In addition, the shelling damaged two high-rise buildings and six private houses. The occupiers also damaged a cell tower, a production workshop, a private garage and the cars of local residents.
