Overnight, the Russians wounded two residents of the Odesa region

On the night of July 4, the Odesa region was targeted by yet another attack by Russian forces, which left two people injured.

 This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

The attack caused a fire in a warehouse storing food products. Nearby warehouses were also damaged. Rescue workers extinguished the fires that broke out at the site of the strike. 

On the night of July 4, the enemy attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile, one X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missile from the Black Sea, and 86 attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Shahed, Gerber, and Italmas types, as well as decoy drones of the “Parody” type. According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defense forces had neutralized 69 enemy UAVs—including Shahed, Gerber, Italmas, and other types—in the north, south, and east of the country.

Two missiles and 17 attack drones were recorded as having struck 16 locations, and debris from the downed drones was found at five locations.

 On July 1, the Odesa region also came under enemy attack, resulting in casualties and destruction. However, on that occasion, the enemy used a ballistic missile. Two people were killed in the attack. Another 13 people were injured, 11 of whom were hospitalized. 

On the night of June 26, the Russians again attacked energy and civilian infrastructure in the southern part of the Odesa region. As a result of the attack, an energy facility was damaged, leaving several settlements temporarily without power. 

Civilianinfrastructure was also damaged. A cottage caught fire as a result of the attack. One person was injured. 

According to the Romanian Ministry of Defense, during the attack, the Romanian Air Force was forced to deploy an IAR 330 Puma helicopter to monitor the air situation and track the movement of aerial targets, 31 km east of Sulina. Air raid alerts were also issued in neighboring areas of Romania.

As a result of the attack on the afternoon of June 23, a 26-year-old woman was killed on one of Odesa’s beaches. A 39-year-old man was also injured. Law enforcement agencies have opened a criminal investigation into the tragedy. The partnerof Daria Kravchenko, a Kyiv resident who was killed in the Russian strike on the Odesa beach, stated his intention to seekpunishmentfor all those involved in the tragedy.
