On the night of June 26, Russian forces once again attacked energy and civilian infrastructure in the southern part of the Odesa region.

According to Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, this time the Izmail district was targeted.

As a result of the attack, an energy facility was damaged, leaving several settlements temporarily without power. Specialists have already begun restoration work.

Civilian infrastructure was also damaged. A cottage caught fire as a result of the attack. One person was injured.

On June 24, a 26-year-old woman died on one of Odesa’s beaches as a result of a drone attack that took place on the afternoon of June 23. A 39-year-old man was also injured. He received medical attention. Later, city officials stated that the beach is not officially included in the list of places where recreation is permitted. Law enforcement agencies have opened a criminal investigation into the tragedy.

The partner of Daria Kravchenko, a Kyiv resident who was killed in the Russian strike on the Odesa beach, stated his intentionto seek punishment for all those involved in the tragedy.

Ivan Noskov said thatalthough the beach was officially closed, it was effectively open: a bar was operating there, and sunbeds and lounge chairs were being rented out to vacationers. At the same time, he said, there were neither lifeguards nor medical personnel on the premises. The city government has promised to provide financial assistance to the victim’s family.
