Investigators of the police department, together with officers of the Security Service of Ukraine in Odesa region, served a notice of suspicion of official negligence to the deputy head of a division of the Department of Municipal Economy of the Odesa City Council.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa region.
According to the investigation, according to her official duties, the woman was responsible for organizing and conducting public procurement procedures for goods, works and services. In 2024, the department she worked for and a private construction company signed a contract for the overhaul of a high-rise building in the Peresypskyi district of Odesa that had been damaged as a result of an enemy attack.

According to the contract, the cost of the repair was more than UAH 2.5 million, which included value added tax. At the same time, the official improperly assessed the value of the procurement item and, despite the fact that the law provides for VAT exemption during martial law, did not exclude it from the total amount. This resulted in the unjustified and unlawful transfer of more than UAH 420 thousand from the budget of the Odesa territorial community to the construction company's account.
If her guilt is proven in court, the woman faces imprisonment for a term of two to five years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and a fine of two hundred fifty to seven hundred fifty tax-free minimum incomes or without it.
Earlier, investigators sent a case to court charging a technical supervision engineer with negligence in the repair of a shelter in a kindergarten.
