A day of mourning for those killed in the Russian missile attack was declared in Odesa on July 9.

This was reported by the press office of the Odesa City Council.

The enemy launched a ballistic missile strike on the evening of July 8. Four people were killed and seven others were injured; six of them were hospitalized, and two are in extremely critical condition. In addition to the infrastructure facility, the area around a gas station was also damaged. A minibus and a fuel pump caught fire there. Rescue workers extinguished all the fires.

The day before, the number of people injured by the Russian ballistic missile strike on the evening of July 7 ultimately reached 10, including three women. Eight people were hospitalized, mostly with shrapnel wounds and lacerations. Doctors describe the condition of one of them as serious. On the evening of July 7, the Russian Armed Forces attackedcivilian targets in Odesa with a ballistic missile equipped with a clusterwarhead. In particular, industrial facilities and cargo trucks were damaged. The number of casualties became clear gradually; initially, three were reported, but the final count turned out to be higher.

Additionally, on the night of July 8, the enemy launched another attack on the Izmail district—not all targets were neutralized.

On the night of July 6, Odesa wasalso attacked by Russian drones, resulting in injuries to a 23-year-old man. The attack damaged high-rise residential buildings—where windows were shattered—a parking lot with garages, and a private home, where a fire broke out. On the same day, in the Odesa district, three private homes were damaged as a result of enemy shelling involving a cruise missile. A child—a boy aged 3 years and 11 months—was injured. He was admitted to a children’s hospital. Doctors assessed the boy’s condition as moderate.
