New fuel purchase limits and QR codes are being introduced at gas stations in Crimea

In annexed Crimea, there are plans to once again reduce the volume of fuel available for sale to the general public at gas stations operated by the companies "TES" and "Atan." Volumes may increase after the next shipment arrives.

According to Yuriy Gotsanyuk, head of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers of Crimea, this is a necessary measure related to changes in logistics routes and heightened security measures. He emphasized that fuel is currently being distributed based on priority. Priority is given to emergency services, public transportation, vehicles delivering food and essential goods, and municipal vehicles.
The official also reported that starting August 10, the price of diesel fuel at Crimean gas stations will be reduced to 109 rubles per liter.
Meanwhile, in Sevastopol, a decision was made to reinstate QR codes for gasoline. The system will resume operation next week. It is most likely that the previous limit of 20 liters per vehicle will remain in place. The city’s Russian mayor, Mikhail Razvozhayev, stated that this is necessary to ensure that a larger number of motorists have access to fuel. Only premium grades of fuel will remain available for general sale, as they are less in demand among drivers.
According to official data, in June 2026, Sevastopol became the most expensive region in the Russian Federation in terms of gasoline prices. The average price reached nearly 119 rubles per liter for gasoline and nearly 139 rubles for diesel. Meanwhile, the consumer price index for gasoline rose by nearly 20% over the year.
However, the actual situation turned out to be even worse. By mid-July, AI-95 gasoline at some gas stations in Sevastopol cost between 197 and 245 rubles per liter, while on the “black market” it was selling for 400 rubles. By comparison, in Moscow during the same period, a liter of gasoline cost about 74 rubles.
