Magura offshore platforms struck two of the occupiers' radar installations in Crimea

Fighters from the Group 13 special forces unit carried out a special operation in Crimea using Magura maritime platforms. The troops struck two Russian military radar installations.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
The damage was inflicted on a command vehicle belonging to the Russian “Podlet” radar complex, as well as on the “friend-or-foe” identification system—the “Parol-4” radar interrogator. The location of the attack on the Russian Armed Forces’ facilities was not disclosed.
Previously, Ukrainian drones struck high-value targets belonging to the Russian occupiers in Crimea and on the left bank of the Kherson region. Among them were the “Pantsir-S1” air defense system, the “Sarghan” patrol boat, and the “Forpost” station. The estimated cost of the Russian “Pantsir-S1” air defense system is about $15 million, and that of the “Sargan” high-speed patrol boat is about $6 million.
The “Podlet” radar is a modern Russian radar system used to detect air targets at very low altitudes. Its key feature is a tall antenna that allows it to “see” low-flying cruise missiles, drones, and aircraft even when they are obscured by hills or trees. This system transmits target coordinates to air defense systems (such as the S-300, S-400, and “Pantsir”), which is why it is considered one of the most important and most expensive “eyes” of Russia’s defense.
The “Parol-4” radar interrogator is a Russian “friend-or-foe” identification system that automatically determines to whom an object detected in the air belongs. Working in conjunction with radars and air defense systems, it sends an encrypted signal to an aircraft or missile: if the correct response is received, the system marks the target as “friendly”; if not, as “hostile.” Destroying such a system blinds Russian air defense, forcing it to operate blindly or even risk shooting down its own aircraft.
