In the Black Sea, Russians killed the captain of a civilian vessel that was sailing from ports in the Odesa region

The enemy continues to carry out targeted attacks on civilian vessels in the Black Sea, and the aggressor’s latest targets were two merchant ships sailing through the maritime corridor under the flags of Tanzania and Liberia.
This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
The captain of one of the ships was killed in the attack. The 11-member crew was evacuated to shore; three of them were injured. The day before, three crew members of a ship moored in a port in the Odesa region were killed when the vessel was struck by Russian ordnance. The ship, flying the flag of the Republic of Togo, was in port carrying a cargo of mineral fertilizers. Five other crew members were injured.
Also, on the afternoon of July 14, a Russian missile strike on the outskirts of Odesa hit a residential area. A 69-year-old woman was killed on the spot by the enemy attack. A 44-year-old man was also injured and taken to the hospital with shrapnel wounds.
As a result of a Russian attackon the night ofJuly 14, civilian and industrial infrastructure in the Odesa region sustained damage. Specifically, on the grounds of one of the enterprises, enemy drones damaged auto repair shop buildings, a utility building, and a fuel tanker.
Eleven trucks and one passenger car were also damaged. Rescue workers extinguished the fires. In addition, tanks containing sunflower oil caught fire at another industrial facility.
Meanwhile, on the evening of July 13, rescue workers discovered the bodies of two more deceased crew members on a ship flying the flag of the Republic of Togo, which had been struck by Russian forces in a port in the Odesa region. Thus, the death toll rose to five crew members, while the number of injured had previously reached 12.The numberof people injured in the Russian attack that morning also rose to five. Among the injured is a five-year-old child, who received the necessary medical care without being hospitalized. The other injured were taken to medical facilities. They are in moderate condition and are receiving the necessary medical care.
