In occupied Sevastopol, a teenager was charged with terrorism

A 16-year-old teenager was detained in occupied Sevastopol. The boy is accused of “terrorist activities.” 

This was reported by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

The local minor was detained for allegedly following Telegram channels belonging to a terrorist organization banned in Russia. Later, the boy reportedly filled out a form and contacted the organization’s coordinator on his own.

After that, according to Russian law enforcement officials, the teenager was tasked with photographing various sites in occupied Sevastopol.

Earlier in Crimea, a judge from the occupying Alushta City Court unlawfully ordered the deportation of a Ukrainian from the peninsula for refusing to obtain a Russian passport. The judge is now under investigation for illegal deportation. The Ukrainian was taken to the Rostov region, where he was held for six months in a temporary detention center for foreigners before being forcibly returned to territory controlled by Ukraine.

And in early August, a student who was facing forced mobilization was rescued from occupied Crimea. Artem, 19, said that instead of taking exams, students were forced to attend meetings with Russian military officials, where they were pressured to sign contracts and forced to donate money to the occupying army. The young man also witnessed targeted repression against the Crimean Tatars.
