Humanitarian disaster continues in Oleshky, Kherson region

The temporarily occupied town of Oleshky, on the left bank of the Kherson region, is on the verge of survival. Despite the critical situation and the lack of basic conditions, more than 8,000 civilians still live in the town.
This was reported by Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, on TV.
According to local authorities, the situation in the city has remained critical for over a month, as the occupation administration is not only unable to organize the supply of necessary goods, but also deliberately prevents the import of food. Only in some cases local entrepreneurs manage to deliver minimal aid, but there is no systematic solution to the problem.
Life in the community has become virtually impossible, and attempts to leave the city or bring in goods are fraught with mortal danger. All access roads to Oleshky are mined, metal spikes are scattered on the roads, and civilian traffic is constantly attacked by enemy drones. Officials emphasize that people are simply being starved to death, held hostage in the combat zone without any security guarantees or opportunities for evacuation.
Also, earlier, following a public prosecution supported by prosecutors from the Kherson Regional and Oleshky District Prosecutor's Offices, a deputy of the Oleshky City Council from the now-banned OPFL party was officially found guilty of collaboration.
According to the court decision, the defendant was sentenced to nine years in prison with full confiscation of his property. In addition, the convicted person was deprived of the right to work in state or local government bodies, as well as to engage in any activity related to the provision of public services for 15 years.
