In Crimea, the Russian occupation authorities have resumed the limited distribution of gasoline via ration coupons. The decision was made due to an acute fuel shortage.
This was reported by Krym. Realii.
The publication cites a statement by Andriy Shatyrenko, head of the Russian district administration. The occupation official stated that the procedure for selling gasoline was changed to ensure a fair distribution of resources and prevent panic buying.
According to Andrei Shatirenko, only 20 liters per tank may be purchased with a coupon. Furthermore, he noted that refueling is permitted only once every seven days. He also noted that only AI-92 gasoline will be available to drivers.
Separately, Shatyrenko reiterated the strict ban on forming lines at gas stations and on the movement of fuel tankers.
There is also a report from the Russian Unified Dispatch Service of the Black Sea Region stating that fuel sales will begin in the morning at ATAN gas stations and after 4:00 p.m. at “TES” gas stations.
At this time, Russian authorities have not specified the reasons for the shortage.
Drivers first experienced serious disruptions in fuel availability on the peninsula back in June 2026, when AI-95 and AI-92 gasoline completely disappeared from many gas stations. Russian authorities and local Gauleiters have repeatedly assured the public that the situation is under control and that there are sufficient reserves, yet the shortage has only worsened.
