Another ship with stolen Ukrainian grain leaves Crimea for Turkey

The Russian-flagged bulk carrier Mys Zhelaniya has made another voyage to export Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to recorded data, more than 15 thousand tons of grain were loaded on board the ship in the port of Sevastopol.
This was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist of the SeaKrime project of the Peacemaker Center.
Between February 22 and March 3, a bulk carrier loaded 15,088 tons of wheat in occupied Sevastopol. The vessel flying the flag of the Russian Federation was spotted at the Avlita grain terminal (coordinates: 44.6248, 33.5521), and is currently heading to the Turkish port of Iskenderun.
The grain is exported by the Russian Partnership LLC (TIN: 2311288071). The fumigation procedure was carried out by the Crimean state laboratory 'CEC AIC' (52 Olenchuk St., Simferopol), which, despite the occupation, continues to claim a confirmed status in the International Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA).
According to the DIU's War & Sanctions portal, the vessel belongs to the Russian construction company Transstroy LLC, which specializes in large-scale energy facilities in the Arctic for customers such as Rosatom, Lukoil, and Alrosa. The vessel is also affiliated with Eco Shipping LLC, which serves the Arctic LNG-2 project under the sanctions. As a reminder, in May 2024, the United States imposed sanctions on Transstroy vessels, making the current voyage another challenge to the international sanctions regime.
Earlier, investigative journalists discovered a new channel for the illegal export of Ukrainian grain through occupied Crimea. According to the investigation, the grain was shipped from Sevastopol to Saudi Arabia by sea.
Bellingcat journalists, together with Lloyd's List analysts, using satellite imagery and data from the Automated Identification System (AIS), have identified a new route for the illegal export of Ukrainian grain through the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The investigation identified two voyages of the Krasnodar bulk carrier, which transported grain from the Avlita terminal in Sevastopol to Saudi Arabia. The first crossing took place in September 2025, when the ship arrived at the King Abdullah port, and the second in November, when it called at the Jazan port.
