An infant was killed and a child was wounded in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions, respectively, as a result of shelling by the Russian Federation

Overnight, the occupiers shelled the town of Marganets in the Nikopol District. A three-month-old boy was killed, and a 5-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl were wounded. 

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. 

In total, 11 people were injured in the Russian strike on Marganets. Seven of them are in the hospital in serious condition. The attack caused a fire in a four-story residential building. 

The occupiers shelled the Kherson region using aircraft, drones, and artillery. They targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods in the region’s settlements, damaging six high-rise buildings and four private homes. Enemy shelling damaged a supermarket, administrative buildings, a store, a pharmacy, a utility building, a minibus, agricultural equipment, private garages, and cars. Twenty-eight people were injured, including one child.

The head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, also reported that three people were evacuated yesterday from liberated communities in the region. 

On August 13, a Russian “Shahed” drone struck the Odesa–Dnipro passenger train with precision. The engineer and his assistant were killed when the strike hit the locomotive. There was also another strike—on a diesel locomotive that was performing shunting operations. The State Emergency Service, together with other agencies, evacuated 525 people, including 130 children.
