The Ukrainian Navy and the Main Intelligence Directorate conducted the first-ever battle between unmanned naval vessels in the Black Sea. The Ukrainian Sargan 3000 patrol boat successfully destroyed a Russian unmanned patrol boat using an automatic turret.

This was reportedby the Ukrainian Navy.

The Ukrainian unmanned Sargan 3000 boat is a modern autonomous platform that combines high maneuverability on the water with high firing accuracy. The main feature of this model is that it is not designed to be used exclusively as a single-use kamikaze drone. Thanks to the installation of a combat module, the boat is transformed into a fully-fledged, reusable robotic patrol and strike vessel.

The key element of its armament is the 12.7-mm RWS Protector automatic remotely controlled turret. This system is equipped with an optoelectronic suite featuring a thermal imaging channel, a laser rangefinder, and a stabilizer. Thanks to this stabilization, the turret is capable of tracking a target and firing with precision even while pitching on the waves—a task that was previously nearly impossible for small unmanned boats.

The combat module is controlled remotely by an operator.

Earlier, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a command post for enemy drones in the occupied city of Zalizny Port in the Kherson region. The systematic destruction of these targets deprives the enemy of reconnaissance and fire correction capabilities in the region, and also neutralizes hundreds of attack drones before they are even launched.
