A Kuban-based giant is preparing to enter the agribusiness sector in the occupied Kherson region

In the occupied Kherson region, at the address of the state-owned “Kherson Grain Company,” three private agricultural LLCs were registered within two days, all in the names of women linked to the agricultural holding of former Russian Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev.

This is reported in an investigation by the publication MOST.

On August 18–19, 2026, in Henicheskaya Girka, at the registered address of the “Kherson Grain Company” (KGC), the following LLCs were established: “Cargill-Agro,” “Chumak-Agro,” and “Protein-Agro.” Their names mimic the brands of Ukrainian companies—Cargill, “Chumak,” and“Kakhovka Protein Agro”—which the Russians seized back in 2022.

HGC is the entity into which the occupiers have consolidated the seized grain infrastructure of the Kherson region since 2022, including the Bratolyubivka and Velyka Lepetykha grain elevators, which previously belonged to the state-owned State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine (SFGCU). Currently, according to journalists, KhZK is being prepared for transformation into a joint-stock company with the subsequent involvement of private investors.

Journalists found that all three new owners—Olga Yermakova, Lyudmila Zaitseva, and Lyubov Privolneva—previously worked at the same agricultural holding company, “Agrokompleks named after M. I. Tkachov,” one of Russia’s largest landowners.

The authors of the investigation note that there are currently no direct documents regarding the transfer of KhZK’s assets to the new LLCs; however, they consider it unlikely that the emergence of these three companies precisely at the time of KhZK’s privatization—and specifically involving individuals from the same holding company—is a coincidence.
