In 2023, a resident of Sevastopol, 42-year-old Oleksandr Selitsky, repaired cars for the Russian occupiers who tortured people in the Kherson region.

According to the Center for Investigative Journalism, Selytsky illegally registered with the occupiers as an "individual entrepreneur" and on the Russian public procurement portal. On August 28, 2023, Selytskyi signed a contract for car repairs for the occupation USIN, the so-called Department of the Penitentiary Service in the Kherson region. This structure is engaged in the illegal detention and torture of people abducted by the Russians.

"For his services, the entrepreneur received about 600 thousand rubles," the text of the suspicion quotes the CJR.

Law enforcers incriminate Alexander Selytsky with collaboration. He faces three to five years in prison with confiscation of property.

According to the information provided by the Center for Human Rights, Selytsky has been engaged in business activities in the repair and maintenance of vehicles since 2009. According to his social media pages, he likes to travel, does not hide his pro-Russian views and actively spreads Russian propaganda.

Earlier, 32-year-old Yevhen Maslakivskyi, an entrepreneur from Henichesk, Kherson region, was sentenced to four and a half years in prison with confiscation of property. The man was servicing the vehicles of the so-called Kherson regional police and the occupation prosecutor 's office.

The courtalso imposed a measure of restraint in the form of detention on the Kherson resident. During the occupation of Kherson, the man organized the delivery of food for the occupiers, organized a workshop for repairing equipment and helped to equip an underground command post.

Earlier, the court ruled to detain the former head of a Kherson enterprise suspected of collaborating with the Russian occupation administration. According to the investigation, he facilitated the creation of an enterprise controlled by the occupiers and organized the removal of property.
