Residents of the second entrance of the building on Yaroslav Mudryi Street in Odesa allowed to return to their apartments

Residents of the second entrance of the building on Yaroslav Mudryi Street in Odesa, which was damaged by a drone attack on the night of May 1, will be able to return to their apartments on Monday, June 30.
This was announced by First Deputy Mayor of Odesa Oleksandr Filatov.
However, the elevator in the second entrance will not work for the time being - the upper structure of the elevator shaft is destroyed and needs to be reconstructed.
The development of project documentation for the overhaul of the building has now begun. Funding for the repair work is planned to be provided in next year's budget.
According to Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov, four apartments on the upper floors have been recognized as destroyed. Three of them have already received a decision from the Executive Committee to issue housing certificates under the eRestoration program, and the paperwork for the fourth is still in progress.
Currently, stabilization and conservation work has been completed at the entrance of the building on Knyazya Yaroslav Mudroho Avenue. Residents of the building on Knyazya Yaroslav Mudroho Street, which was damaged by a drone attack on the night of May 1, began returning home in early June.
At the end of May, a high-rise building on Knyazya Yaroslav Mudroho Avenue in Odesa (formerly Akademika Hlushka Avenue), which was damaged by a Russian drone on the night of May 1, 2025, was officially declared an emergency.
Instead, the second entrance, which was hit by an attack drone and suffered the most, needs separate major repairs. After the stabilization is complete, a special project will be developed and an estimate will be determined for the restoration.
The Russians launched a massive drone strike on Odesa on the night of May 1. The attack hit residential buildings and killed local residents. The strike killed two people and injured five others. The damage included high-rise buildings, private homes, a supermarket, a school, and cars. Fires broke out in some places. The school was slightly damaged, with four windows smashed.
