A new vertical of occupation authorities has been established on the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula, where participation in the war against Ukraine is the main criterion for career growth.
This is stated in the publication of the National Resistance Center on Telegram.
Currently, 57 war veterans, including mobilized and contract soldiers, are undergoing specialized training courses. It is expected that about 90% of these soldiers will take up new managerial positions after graduation.
Experts emphasize that this is not a simple personnel renewal, but the replacement of civilian authorities by the military. This leads to the fact that the socio-economic needs of the region are relegated to the background, giving way to militarized control.
The growing influence of the security forces in the civilian sphere indicates the growth of authoritarianism and increased control over the population of the peninsula. The occupiers are strengthening their military and social governance, implementing practices aimed at forming the most loyal population. This process is accompanied by the active spread of Russian media in the occupied territories, which increases the dependence of local residents on the occupation authorities.
Earlier it became known that the occupiers in Crimea increased mobilization pressure on local residents, forcing them to sign contracts with the Russian army even without their consent. At the same time, the militarization of education continues: Russian propaganda is promoted in schools, and teenagers are taught military skills.
According to the head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Eskender Bariev, in the first half of 2025, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center recorded new methods of pressure used by the Russian occupiers in Crimea to fill the ranks of the Russian army through the local population.
Bariiev also noted that security forces illegally use personal data of Crimeans to sign contracts with the Russian army. Young people are forced to sign these contracts, promising them a shorter service period in return. Particular attention is paid to students - in particular, at the Crimean Federal University, the elders were forced to collect information about those who risk failing the session. After all, three "failing grades" means expulsion, which is a direct path to a summons.
