In September 2022, the woman took up the position of the so-called "head of the Fedorivske territorial department of the Kakhovka military-civilian administration".
According to the Kherson Region Prosecutor's Office, in this position, she organized the work of the illegal body, demanded compliance with the regime established by the occupation forces, organized and conducted personal receptions of citizens.
"The court found the resident of the region guilty of collaboration. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. She is also deprived of the right to hold positions in state and local government and engage in managerial activities for a period of 15 years," the statement said.
The verdict was passed in absentia. The convict will serve her sentence from the moment of her arrest.
Earlier, Roman Nazarov, a resident of the village of Malokakhovka, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for voluntarily agreeing to take a position in an illegal government created by the Russian invaders during the occupation of Kherson region. He was sentenced in absentia because the accused is hiding in the temporarily occupied territory.
The court also found Vitaliy Guru, the occupiers' appointed deputy head of the Novokakhovka city military-civilian administration, guilty of collaboration and sentenced him to nine and a half years in prison with confiscation of property.
In March, the court sentenced in absentia the former head of the occupation administration of the Kakhovka district and Nova Kakhovka, Volodymyr Leontiev, to 15 years in prison for violating the laws and customs of war. In March 2022, he ordered the Russian military to kidnap and torture the mayor of Beryslav , Oleksandr Shapovalov.
