Kherson resident lost his arm due to shelling and left for Russia

Viktor A., a resident of Kherson, lost his arm as a result of Russian shelling, but went to Russia for housing. The man, who received a Russian passport in September 2022, was wounded by artillery fire in the spring of 2023, which resulted in his arm being amputated.

After a long rehabilitation, in October 2023, Viktor decided to go to the city of Kurgan to reunite with his daughter and grandchildren. He traveled to Russia in a difficult way: by evacuation bus to Odesa, then through Romania and Bulgaria to Turkey, from where he flew to Moscow by plane and then by train to Kurgan.
Upon arrival, the man turned to the Russian authorities with a request to provide him with free housing under the "housing certificate" program. However, he was denied, citing the fact that he had come to Russia from another country, not directly from Kherson. Viktor filed a lawsuit in court, which sided with him and ordered officials to provide him with the promised support. However, despite the court's decision, as of today, Viktor has not received any compensation.
The director of a TV and radio company in the Kherson region was sentenced to 12 years in prison under the occupiers . A 59-year-old resident of Kakhovka, Oleksandr Larchenko, known by the nickname "Chip," illegally took over the Rubintelecom TV and radio company, seized by the Russian occupiers, in 2022 and was engaged in connecting their structures to the Internet.
According to the court, in the spring of 2022, Larchenko voluntarily took over Rubintelecom in Nova Kakhovka, illegally connected occupation authorities and military facilities to the Internet, set up equipment for the enemy, and recruited system administrators. Witnesses said that he came accompanied by Russian military, controlled the work of the company and communicated amicably with the occupiers.
