During the occupation, a 46-year-old resident of Komyshany headed the "security service" of an illegally established industrial enterprise and transferred the seized property of a Ukrainian company to the Russian occupiers.

According to the Kherson regional police, the pre-trial investigation against the suspect has now been completed and the indictment has been sent to court.

The investigation established that in July 2022, the man voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupation authorities. After that, representatives of the aggressor country appointed him as the "head of security" of the illegally created "state unitary enterprise" Kherson Shipyard" at the seized Ukrainian enterprise.

According to the deputy head of the police unit , Yulia Skiba, the defendant illegally transferred property located in the occupied territory to the occupiers during his time in the pseudo-position. In particular, it was established that in the period from August to October 2022, the "chief of guard", both personally and jointly with the Russian military, took six cars, a passenger minibus and a crane belonging to a Ukrainian company out of the territory.

The man's criminal actions were classified as aiding the aggressor state. He was notified of the suspicion in absentia, as he fled to the occupied left bank of Kherson region together with the Russian military. The indictment against the defendant has now been approved by the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office and sent to court. For aiding the occupiers, the offender faces up to 12 years in prison.

Earlier, the court sentenced a resident of Kherson who voluntarily agreed to serve in the Russian police during the occupation. Police investigators also notified the "first deputy" of the illegally created by the occupiers "detention center" of suspicion of committing a war crime. The man ensured the forced transfer of more than 1500 convicts to the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson region. Also in the dock was the former head of the Kherson colony, who ordered the forcible transfer of 97 prisoners from the Snihuriv colony
