Kherson Region Law Enforcement Charges Occupation Administrator with Collaboration

In the Kherson region, law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion of collaboration to the "manager of affairs" of the occupation administration in Dnipro. But so far in absentia.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, in July 2022, the suspect voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupiers and took the position of the so-called "manager of affairs of the village of Dnipryany" as part of the Novokakhovka local military-civilian administration.
In this pseudo-position, he performed organizational and administrative functions, facilitated the implementation of the occupation regime, interacted with representatives of the illegal administration and armed groups of the Russian Federation, and organized the issuance of Russian passports to the local population.
The suspect faces up to 10 years in prison for collaboration under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Recently, the case of a lecturer at one of the local universities in Kherson, who is suspected of collaboration (Part 3 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), was brought to court. In July 2022, she agreed to take up the position of "dean of the faculty of psychology" of a higher education institution created by the occupation authorities. This pseudo-university was registered under Russian laws and operated on the basis of the seized Kherson University under the name "State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education of Kherson Region "Kherson State Pedagogical University".
The court also sentenced two pensioners for managing occupation schools in Kherson region. They were convicted of collaboration, but so far in absentia.
In addition, a former lyceum director from the Kakhovka district of Kherson region, who was involved in propaganda and helped to implement Russian standards in education, will be brought to trial. The woman conducted propaganda activities, forcing students and staff to sing the Russian anthem every morning.
