Crimean resident convicted by Russia is kept in pre-trial detention center for a month

Since September 5, Crimean Aider Saledinov, convicted in the 'Crimean Muslims case', has been held in the penal isolation ward of the penal colony No. 2 in Salavat, Bashkortostan, since September 5.
This was reported by 'Krym.Realii' with reference to the prisoner's wife Guzal Suleyman-Zade.
The woman said that her husband was placed in the isolation ward for almost a month and a half, from September 5 to October 20. At the same time, the administration of the colony did not provide the family with any official explanation of the reasons for imposing such a penalty on the Crimean Tatar. According to Guzal Suleyman-Zade, the reason could have been even the slightest violation of the internal regulations, such as the form of greeting the staff.
The punishment for violating the regime is the most severe punishment for prisoners . In SHIZO, prisoners are held in solitary or small cells in strict isolation. They have limited access to personal belongings, are prohibited from long visits, transfers and use of most household items. Human rights organizations emphasize that this facility is often used by the occupation authorities as an instrument of psychological and physical pressure on political prisoners, not just to punish them for actual disciplinary violations.
Ayder Saledinov is a defendant in the so-called 'case of Crimean Muslims'. On October 12, 2016, Russian security forces conducted searches in five Crimean Tatar families, detaining five men who were accused of participating in the banned organization Hizb ut-Tahrir. They were: Rustem Ismailov, Uzeyir Abdullayev, Teymur Abdullayev, Emil Dzhemadenov and Ayder Saledinov.
