Serhiy, a fighter with the mobile firing group of the Kherson Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade, shot down an enemy Shahed attack drone. It happened on the night of January 21 in Mykolaiv region.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force Command, he used a Browning heavy machine gun to destroy the target.

Serhiy said that the drone was flying low, at an altitude of less than 100 meters, and was clearly visible through the thermal imager. Thanks to this, they managed to shoot it down with the first shot.

This is not the soldier's first success in the fight against drones. For more than a year and a half, he has been performing combat missions as part of a mobile firing group and has a lot of downed enemy vehicles under his belt.

Before joining the army, Serhiy was an active soccer player, and his younger brother became a well-known player for Dynamo Kyiv.

"It is for the sake of my family, my brother and all my relatives that I continue to defend Ukraine from the Russian occupiers and will continue to do so until our final victory!" - said the soldier.

On the night of January 7,Ilya, a 55-year-oldfighter with a mobile firing group of the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade, shot down his first "Shahed" in the sky. This also happened in Mykolaiv region.

On the night of January 22, the occupiers launched a massive attack on Mykolaiv. As a result, the attic floor of an apartment building was partially destroyed. Two people were injured - a 74-year-old woman and a man. 200 residents were evacuated from the building, and all have now returned to their homes.

In addition, the blast wave damaged the windows of apartments in eight apartment buildings and several private houses, damaged the windows of a family outpatient clinic and the administrative building of a transport company, and destroyed a car. There were also several fires in open areas.
