The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has sent to court indictments against two Ukrainian citizens who systematically help the enemy army.
This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
Investigators found that one of the defendants, a private entrepreneur, organized the repair and transfer of vehicles for the Russian armed forces involved in the armed aggression against Ukraine. In 2023, he handed over 7 NIVA, UAZ and GAZelle off-road vehicles prepared for combat to the Russian military. The "entrepreneur" posted information about fundraising for the purchase of vehicles and spare parts for their repair, as well as reports on the results of his "charitable activities" in his telegram channel.
Another "volunteer" cooperated with an assistant to the occupying deputy of the Yalta City Council. In particular, in 2023, he repeatedly handed her a diesel generator, a repeater for personal communication, a sea container, antennas for walkie-talkies, car batteries, etc. for the needs of certain units of the Russian Armed Forces.
The actions of the accused are qualified as aiding the aggressor state. The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years in prison.
Earlier, the autonomy's prosecutor's office served a notice of suspicion to an occupying deputy of the Sevastopol City Legislative Assembly of the second convocation. His actions are classified as high treason. Since 2013, the suspect has worked as the head of the public security department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Sevastopol. However, after the occupation of the peninsula, he betrayed his oath and went over to the side of the enemy in the armed conflict, taking the position of "Deputy Chief of Police (for public order) of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol". Subsequently, in September 2019, the suspect was elected as an occupation deputy of the legislative assembly of Sevastopol of the second convocation from the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia.
