Three soldiers from Odesa region returned from captivity

Three of the Ukrainian soldiers released from Russian captivity on September 14 are natives of Odesa region.
This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper.
In his turn, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that on September 14, an exchange of prisoners took place between Russia and Ukraine, and 103 soldiers who had been captured by the occupiers returned home.
"Another 103 soldiers were returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity. 82 privates and sergeants. 21 officers. The defenders of Kyiv, Donetsk, Mariupol and Azovstal, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, border guards, police officers," the President's Office said.

The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War clarified that 38 National Guardsmen were among those released this time. The Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to return 28 soldiers: two from the Kraken special forces, two from the International Legion, three from the Special Operations Forces, and one from the Territorial Defense Forces. Eight border guards, four policemen, twenty-one sailors, three representatives of the State Special Transport Service, and one from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are going home.
On September 13, 49 heroes and heroines finally returned home. Among them are 23 women illegally detained by Russia. This is the largest number of women exchanged in recent times.

On September 1, a group of Odesa residents held a traditional rally to remind of those Ukrainian soldiers who are still in captivity of the occupiers. The actions take place almost every Sunday, sometimes accompanied by performances.
