Ten houses and power grid destroyed in Mykolaiv region due to enemy shelling

The enemy attacked Mykolaiv region with missiles and drones. Ten private houses and power grids were damaged as a result of the attack.
This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
On the night of October 16, air defense forces and means in Mykolaiv region destroyed three Shahed 131/136 UAVs.
In the morning, on October 15, at 09:17, the enemy attacked the Kutsurub community with FPV drones. As a result, a private house was damaged. There were no casualties.
Also in the morning, on October 15, at 11:00, the enemy attacked Ochakiv, first with an S-300 missile. As a result, nine private houses and a power line were damaged, which has already been restored.
In addition, in the afternoon, on October 15, at 15:49, the water area of the Ochakiv community came under enemy artillery fire. No one was injured as a result of the hostile aggression.
As a result of the shelling of Mykolaiv, some of the residents of the affected houses are planned to be relocated. As a result of the shelling, windows and doors were smashed, partitions were destroyed, and roofs were damaged. Utilities are already installing temporary protective structures on windows and repairing roofs as the weather is unstable.
On October 14, at 11:30 a.m., the enemy fired artillery at the village of Lymani in the Halytsynivka community. As a result, a private house, an outbuilding and agricultural machinery were damaged.
On October 12, the occupiers fired at Mykolaiv region with drones. One of the drones hit the territory of a farm and started a fire. Also, due to the fall of the wreckage of a downed drone, dry grass outside the village caught fire.
September was the month with the highest number of civilian casualties in Ukraine in 2024.
In September, at least 208 civilians were killed and 1,220 were injured, making it the most tragic month for Ukrainian civilians in 2024. This continues the upward trend in casualties that began in July.
Nine children were among the dead, and 76 more were injured.
