No Russian warships have been seen in the Black Sea for seven days.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, said this during a telethon.

"Today (August 25 - ed.) is actually the seventh day that no ships have been seen in the Black Sea. In the Sea of Azov, the period is even longer," he said.

According to him, this situation has developed because the Russians fear losses.

"Another question is why they stopped guarding the base in this way, still using a submarine. I think we can find out this information later. Maybe it was maintenance, maybe it was some kind of internal decision. But the fact remains the same: all combat units remain at the Novorossiysk base," Pletenchuk said.

Earlier, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy confirmed that the Ukrainian military had destroyed theConro Trader ferry, which sank in the port of Kavkaz in the Krasnodar region of Russia. According to him, this ferry was one of the important chains of Russian military logistics to supply the occupation forces. First of all, with fuel and lubricants, but, of course, it also transported weapons. Therefore, it is a legitimate target.

Pletenchuk also noted that the other two railroad ferries in this port are not currently operating. One of them is undergoing repairs, and the other, which was hit earlier by the Slavyanin ferry, is waiting for repairs in the Sea of Azov.

In addition, at the end of May, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully destroyed a ferry crossing of the Russian occupiers in Crimea. It is noted that last night, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck with ATACMS missiles at the Kerch ferry crossing, which was actively used by the enemy to supply its troops in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
