A resident of Kherson, who headed the "PEC" for the pseudo-referendum, is served a notice of suspicion
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The post says that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, the local resident was served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, during the occupation of Kherson, the suspect participated in the organization and holding of an illegal referendum on the separation of the region from Ukraine and its accession to the territory of the Russian Federation, which the occupation authorities organized from September 23 to 27, 2022.
It is noted that the woman assumed the powers of the "chairman of the precinct election commission" in Kherson, which was set up in one of the local schools. She organized the voting process in the school premises, took measures to identify "voters", issued them ballots, and counted "votes" and drew up a protocol.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the National Police in Kherson region.
Earlier it was reported that in Kherson region, under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional and Oleshky District Prosecutor's Offices, indictments were sent to court against two residents of the region on the fact of collaboration (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Two women will also be tried for their participation in organizing and conducting a pseudo-referendum in Muzykivka. The investigation established that in September 2022, the defendants joined the so-called "precinct election commission" that was preparing a "referendum" on joining the Russian Federation in the village of Muzykivka. The women, accompanied by armed Russian soldiers, went to the homes of local residents, urging them to participate in the "vote." They kept a record of those who "cast their votes," issued ballots, and monitored their completion and placement in the "ballot box."
