Kherson pyrotechnics receive an underwater drone

Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson region have received modern equipment from international partners to clear water bodies.
This was reported by the press service of the Congress of Local and Regional Councils under the President of Ukraine.
The report says that thanks to international technical assistance under the EU4Recovery - Empowering Communities in Ukraine project, specialists from the Main Directorate of the Kherson Oblast State Emergency Service received an innovative PIVOT EXPERT PACKAGE underwater drone kit. It is noted that the new technical tool will significantly increase the effectiveness of sappers in de-mining water bodies, monitoring the condition and ensuring safety in the region's water bodies.
"Thanks to advanced technologies, we will be able to protect the public more effectively and reduce the risks to the lives of our employees. We are grateful to our partners for their support and contribution to the safety of Kherson region!" said Andriy Masharo, Head of the Kherson Regional State Emergency Service.
The press service added that the EU4Recovery - Empowering Communities in Ukraine project is being implemented by the United Nations Development Program with the financial support of the European Union.
Earlier it was reported that in Kherson region, demining specialists received another batch of assistance from international donors to improve the efficiency of their work in the de-occupied territories. With the support of the UNDP programs "Mine Action in Ukraine" and "Promoting Human Security in Ukraine through Response to the War-Torn Crisis" from the Governments of Denmark, Sweden and Japan, pyrotechnic units were equipped with modern equipment. The list of equipment received includes binoculars, topographic laser rangefinders, ohmmeters, sets of explosive cable and electric detonation machines.
