Mine danger in Ukraine
Mine danger is a humanitarian and security problem in Ukraine caused by the massive use of mines, unexploded ordnance, and other explosive hazards during the Russian-Ukrainian war. After 2022, significant territories of the country, especially in the south (Kherson region, Mykolaiv region, Odesa region), became potentially dangerous for civilians, agriculture, and infrastructure restoration. The problem requires constant work by sappers, evacuation of civilians, and restriction of access to contaminated areas.
