From now on, farmers in Kherson region can apply for compensation for land demining.
According to the press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration, the relevant decision was made by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
The post says that farmers will be able to submit applications through the State Agrarian Register.
It also says that the compensation program applies to both land owned by the farmer and land leased by him. However, it is noted that the farms themselves must not have a tax debt, be bankrupt, belong to citizens of the aggressor state, or be on the sanctions list. The application can be submitted at the following link: https://www.dar.gov.ua/
In addition, it is now possible to receive compensation for land that has already been demined. To do this, you need to fill out and submit an application to the Humanitarian Demining Center: compensation@uachd.org.
Earlier it was reported that at the current rate, it will take at least two years to clear the right-bank Kherson region of mines. As of early March, one third of the liberated territories had been surveyed. In this area alone, explosive experts found and destroyed more than 155,000 mines, tripwires, unexploded ordnance and other explosives. More than 1,020 sappers are working on demining. In just one year, their number has increased tenfold. They continue to work on this in Kherson region.
In the liberated part of the Kherson region , fields for farmers are also being demined. Thus, in mid-May, a meeting of the coordination headquarters for clearing the territory of Kherson region from explosive devices was held. The main issues discussed included the composition of demining units, analysis of the use of cleared agricultural land, and reimbursement of farmers for humanitarian demining.
