Iranian commander who visited Crimea is suspected by SBU of supplying UAVs to Russia

Brigadier General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran Sharifi Molasarei Abbas Moussa, directly assisted the command of the Russian occupation groups to conduct air strikes on Ukraine using Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the materials of the proceedings, the IRGC handed over at least 1,500 Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6 combat drones to Russia in August-September 2022.
At the same time, in 2022, General Sharifi Molasarei Abbasu Musa personally came to the temporarily occupied Crimea and brought a group of Iranian UAV instructors with him. It was under his leadership that the specialized units of the Russian armed forces were trained in the combat use of the drones at the peninsula's training grounds.
Subsequently, the Iranian general, together with his subordinate instructors, coordinated the actions of the Russian occupiers in launching"Shahed-136" and "Mohajer-6" at the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. In September-October 2022 alone, the aggressor carried out at least 20 series of massive attacks by Iranian UAVs on Ukrainian targets.
TheIslamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is the military branch of the executive branch of the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to Article 150 of the country's constitution, it exists in parallel with the Iranian Armed Forces and is responsible for protecting the Islamic Revolution and its achievements. The authorities of the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Canada and Sweden recognize the IRGC as a terrorist organization.
Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators and prosecutors from the Prosecutor General's Office served Sharifi Molasarei Abbas Moussa in absentia with a notice of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- aiding and abetting in the conduct of an aggressive war, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons;
- Violation of the laws and customs of war, as stipulated by international treaties ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
